Craig Naugler is a second-generation folk artist from Nova Scotia, following in the footsteps of his father, the renowned folk artist Bradford Naugler. Like his father, Craig is self-taught and deeply inspired by the rich natural landscapes and cultural traditions of the Maritimes. His work consists primarily of vibrant wood carvings and paintings, often depicting birds, fish, and whimsical representations of everyday life in Nova Scotia.
Known for his bold use of color and dynamic compositions, Craig’s carvings have a strong sculptural presence, with exaggerated forms that highlight movement and personality. His style maintains the raw, expressive quality of folk art while incorporating elements of storytelling that resonate with collectors. Over the years, his work has gained recognition at folk art festivals and through private collections across Canada and the United States.
Though still emerging compared to his father, Craig Naugler’s work continues to grow in popularity, with each piece carrying forward the Naugler family legacy in Canadian folk art.
