About Us
My journey with art began in 1999 when I was an MBA student at Western. Walking past a small gallery—more of a framing shop—I spotted a Jean Paul Riopelle lithograph. It was framed, priced at $500, and well beyond my student budget. Of course, I bought it. That moment ignited something in me. I reached out to Riopelle’s daughter to learn more, and the piece was eventually photographed for her father’s Catalogue Raisonné of Prints, where it remains on the cover today. That was the first piece, but certainly not the last.
But the seeds of this journey were planted much earlier. Growing up in Fredericton, I spent time at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, attended city-run art classes, and was surrounded by a family that encouraged curiosity. I didn’t realize it at the time, but those early experiences shaped my lifelong connection to art.

Art for Everyone
Art isn’t just for galleries, museums, or the wealthy—it’s for everyone. It belongs in homes, offices, and personal spaces where it can be lived with, enjoyed, and appreciated. Art has a way of shaping the spaces we inhabit, elevating the way we experience a room, a home, or even a fleeting moment of reflection.
It’s about curiosity—that spark when you see something that stops you in your tracks. It’s about asking: Who made this? Why does it feel familiar? What story is it telling? That sense of wonder is what makes collecting art so rewarding.
Whether it’s a bold contemporary painting, a hand-carved folk art piece, or a striking lithograph, art adds depth to a space. It changes how a home feels, reflecting your personal style, identity, and values. A well-chosen piece can make a room feel more intentional, more layered—more you.
This site is for anyone who wants to explore that experience. It’s for those who wonder how art can transform their home, what makes certain pieces timeless, or why some works evoke such a strong emotional response. It’s for those who want to know the difference between an original and a print, how to start a collection, or why folk art carries such an enduring charm.
Most of all, it’s a space to discover—to find something that resonates with you. Because art isn’t just for collectors or connoisseurs. It’s for everyone. It’s for you.
About The Art
Curated Discoveries
This includes carefully selected mid-century Murano glass, whose timeless appeal lies in its exquisite craftsmanship, bold experimentation with form, and the mastery of glassblowing techniques that have remained unrivaled. These works are not just decorative but represent a pivotal moment in design history—objects that resonate with collectors who appreciate the fusion of art and function.
Similarly, the Starbush series, acquired in the early days of my own collecting journey, reflects the vision of a young Vancouver artist, WR. These early originals capture an energy and ambition that is often found in artists before they become widely recognized—a reminder that great art often begins in quiet places, waiting for the right eyes to see its potential.
Every piece in this collection has been chosen with intention, whether for its craftsmanship, its aesthetic harmony with the gallery’s vision, or its ability to speak to those who appreciate art beyond the signature. For collectors who value discovery, these works offer the chance to engage with something unique—pieces that stand on their own merit, enriched by their origins, but valued for the experience they bring into a space.

From One Piece to a Passion
I started collecting art one piece at a time, guided simply by a love for beautiful things. Over time, curiosity led me deeper—into the stories, the makers, and the meaning behind the work. I’ve gathered a collection of short posts and articles to share what I’ve learned along the way. Whether you’re just beginning or well into your own art journey, I hope these reflections help spark ideas, answer questions, or simply invite you to look a little closer.
