Description

This charming folk carving by Craig Naugler captures a stoic owl perched upright on a hand-painted red base boldly signed by the artist. The owl’s body is finished in a deep, chocolate brown, with a vivid yellow beak and round yellow-ringed eyes that lend a piercing, alert expression.

The back of the bird reveals a vivid red tail, peeking from beneath its wings in a flash of contrast that adds visual energy and flair. Mounted on sturdy, yellow-painted dowel legs, the sculpture combines simplicity of form with bold, intentional colour choices—hallmarks of Naugler’s style.
