James Ward

James Ward, known artistically as “AngryBuzzard,” is a folk artist based in Steam Mill, Nova Scotia. For over a decade, he has been crafting unique carvings inspired by local wildlife and his vivid imagination. Ward utilizes reclaimed, found, or recycled wood, ensuring that each piece is one-of-a-kind—a testament to his belief that he couldn’t replicate the same creation twice.

Beyond his artistic endeavors, Ward has dedicated 17 years to the Nova Scotia Health Authority as a shipper/receiver. His work has been showcased in various venues, including an article in the Chronicle Herald in 2016, and his pieces adorn homes across the country.

Ward actively participates in the Nova Scotia Folk Art Festival, connecting with fellow artists and enthusiasts. His contact information is available through the festival’s artist directory.

For a deeper exploration of his work, Ward maintains a personal website, AngryBuzzard.com, where visitors can view his latest creations and gain insight into his artistic journey.
